The security situation in Sinai is more stable now in light of efforts by the Interior Ministry to address security violations there, said presidential spokesman Yasser Ali.
Dialogue is still ongoing with Sinai residents to achieve stability, the spokesman said, adding that the problem in Sinai was the product of many years and could not be resolved within days.
According to security reports, the situation there is improving, he said.
On the other hand, a new batch of military vehicles arrived in the city of al-Arish to back security forces in their intensive campaigns against terrorists and arrest culprits involved in assaults on the forces there.
A security source said the reinforcements include armored vehicles, track vehicles and concrete barricades.
