Carthage — Chairwoman of the Martyrs and Wounded of the Revolution and General Amnesty Commission and Constituent Assembly member Yamina Zoghlami commended, on Friday, the will guiding the political and trade union forces and civil society components to activate the general amnesty and render justice to the victims of repression and dictatorship.

"Time has come to set aside all political one-upmanship, render justice and rehabilitate the generations of Tunisians who suffered from pain and torture," she indicated during the meeting that President of the Republic Moncef Marzouki had with the Commission members.

A communiqué from the Presidency of the Republic reads that Mrs. Zoghlami also pointed out that the meeting had offered the opportunity to discuss the problems and obstacles of this file.

President Marzouki, for his part, stressed the imperative to render justice to the wounded and families of the martyrs of the Revolution, put an end to their suffering and rehabilitate the martyrs and the wounded of the mining basin, a region of the country which, he said, "represents the real cradle of the Freedom and Dignity Revolution."
