Angola: President Unveils Camama Water Supply Centre

Luanda — The President of the Republic, José Eduardo dos Santos, inaugurated on Friday Camama Treatment and Water Distribution Centre.

Angop learnt that the centre will benefit 568.000 inhabitants of Kilamba town, Lar do Patriota ward, communes of Benfica and Camama.

The act, under a field visit that the Head of State is paying to Kilamba city since Friday morning, also symolised the operation of the water treatment and supply centre for Industrial park, localities of Benfica II and Candelabro.

The referred centre has the capacity of 30.000 cubic metres of water and will supply also cover the Luanda's 11 de Novembro stadium.

After being briefed on the infrastructure, José Eduardo dos Santos toured to some of the service áreas.

As part of his agenda, the statesman had a meeting with officials from Sonangol Imobiliária e Propriedades, a real estate company in charge of the management and sale of flats of Kilamba city, from whom her received explanations about their work, as well as projects for the creation of various social services.
