Nigeria: Eko 2012 - Delta Set to Dethrone Rivers in Cycling

Delta State has vowed to dethrone current cycling champions, River state during the 18th National Sports Festival holding in Lagos.

Speaking with Saturday Vanguard sports, coach of the team, Krakite said Delta State is ready to reclaim the number one position in cycling in the Lagos festival.

"We lost our pride of place in Port Harcourt to the host due to some circumstances beyoud our control. We have corrected that now and the sports council is ready to replace our bicycles. We won more than eight gold medals in the Kaduna Festival only to lose them in Port Harcourt. Lagos is no man's land and we have prepared well to reclaim our pride of place," he said.
