Nigeria: Oshiomhole's Wife Resurrects Through Golf Tourney

Two years after she departed this world, Clara, the late wife of the Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomole, will be remembered through a five-star golf tournament at the lush course of the UBTH (University of Benin Teaching Hospital) Golf Club in Benin. Event date is December 8 and 9.

Interestingly, the game put together for late Madam Clara will be signaling the first Pro-Am event the club will be hosting since its inception some six years ago. The members of the club amounting to well over 300 golfers are eagerly awaiting the sumptuous tourney.

The Captain of the Club, Professor Waziri Erameh, informed that in as much as the club was eager to remember the late Governor's wife through a grand event, the overall success of the event would be determined by efforts from Hon. Dan Mayuku's Evergreen concept and support from Action Congress big wig, Osagie Ize-Iyamu.

However, the Chairman of the event's Organizing Committee, General Inienger, disclosed that his Committee is set to play host to an unprecedented tournament in the history of the club and that nothing short of total success will do.

"We are all set", Inienger said with all confidence only a General can muster. "I can tell you professional golfers in the country will participate."
