Kenya: Local Youth Receives UN Award for Plastic Bags Idea

23 year old Hope Mugambi from Kenyatta University has received an international youth leader award for her environmental efforts.
Her project of converting waste plastic bags into laptop cases, purses and houseware was picked as a leading innovation from 50 other competitors by UNEP in Germany.
The project will be replicated countrywide in various communities to end the plastic bag menace.
