Egypt: International Cooperation Minister - Supporting Economic Relations With Tunisia

Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Ashraf al-Arabi and Tunisian Ambassador in Cairo Mahmoud El-Khemeiry agreed to support efforts of the two countries with the development partners to deal with thesimilar economic difficulties the two countries are facing, especially as many economic sectors have been affected by the Arab Spring revolutions, topped by the tourism sector.

The Minister said he discussed with the Tunisian Ambassador developments of cooperation between the two countries in various fields and promoting cooperation within the framework of the Egyptian-Tunisian Joint Higher Committee.

He added that the two sides agreed to activate cooperation in the field of trade exchange, scientific research, petroleum, gas and energy.
