Egypt: Foreign Minister - Israel Not Serious About Peace With Palestinians

Foreign Minister Mohamed Kamel Amr, currently in Ankara, said on Friday that Israel has proved non-seriousness about achieving real peace with Palestinians.

"Over the past 20 years, from the beginning of negotiations in Madrid, then Oslo till now, Israel proved that it is not serious about achieving a real peace deal with the Palestinians that can end decades of conflicts and bring about the legitimate rights of the Palestinians to establish their country on all their national soil," the Egyptian top diplomat said during a reception ceremony held by the Palestinian embassy in Ankara.

In spite of all the tragic events which hit the region recently, the Palestinian cause is still the main cause in the Middle East, the minister told the event.
