Kenya: Spinmaster Kaydee Shines At the East African DJ Finals

Veteran deejay Kaydee on Tuesday night emerged the winner of the East Africa Pioneer convention DJ battle. The competition held at Galileo Extreme in Nairobi had three finalists - Kaydee, DJ Spin and DJ E. DJ Kaydee trounced his competitors to take home the grand prize, the Pioneer CDj 900 and DJ M 350.

The event sponsored by Pioneer DJ and hosted by Credible Sounds had 700 participants ranging from DJs, club owners and deejaying enthusiasts. The attendees had a chance to buy Pioneer products and spare parts.

The event had a service bay where deejays were advised on maintenance of their equipment. Pioneer DJ, a global company, was hosting the event for the first time in East Africa.

"The event was very successful. It was also a good day for the Kenyan DJs to bond. I hope that this can happen often because DJs really need these conventions," said event organiser, Big Ted.
