Nigeria: Oshomhole Dissolves Cabinet

Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State Friday dissolved his cabinet. Those affected included Civil Commissioners, Special Advisers, Executive Directors, Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, Chairmen and members of Boards of Parastatals, Committees and Task Forces.

In a statement by Edo State Head of Service, Mrs. Ekiuwa Inneh, only the Board of Internal Revenue and Directorate of Information and Telecommunications Technology (ICT) were to remain.

The statement advised the affected political office holders to hand over all government property in their possession, including vehicles, to the Permanent Secretary, Directorate of Central Administration, Governor's office.

According to the statement, the governor wished those relieved of their political appointment well in their future endeavors.
