Angola: Portuguese Court Demands Immediate Monetary Restitution to TAAG

Luanda — The Court of Vila Nova de Gaia (Oporto, Portugal), on Thursday, agreed with the Angolan Airlines (TAAG) and determined an immediate restitution and subsequent transfer of 368,823 Euros to the airline, immediately ceasing the seizure that had been brought up by a Portuguese citizen.

"Following the constitution of the bond, TAAG filed a legal opposition to the lien through adequate legal processes. The court stated that TAAG has nothing to do with the process and no aircraft of its fleet should be seized," reads a press release disclosed to ANGOP this Saturday.

TAAG presents to all its passengers directly affected by the situation its most sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused to them by a situation that is out of its responsibility.
