Angola: Diplomat Stresses Importance of Cultural Conference

Luanda — Italian ambassador to Angola, Giuseppe Mistretta, on Friday here praised the holding of the cultural conference dubbed "Itália encontra Pepetela (Italy meets Pepetela)", since it is an opportunity for people to know well the life and works of the Angolan writer Artur Pestana.

Speaking to the press at the end of the event, promoted by the Italian Embassy in collaboration with the Angolan Writers Union (UEA), the diplomat said that the event enabled Italian to know well the life and work of Pepetela, one of the most loved foreign writers in Italy.

On his turn, the honoured writer, Artur Pestana "Pepetela" praised the organisation for this initiative, since the ocassion served to unveil more his work abroad.
