For Nigerian football fans and critics of the present leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation, Super Falcons disappointing outing on Wednesday against the Banyana Banyana of South Africa in Equatorial Guinea is an appropriate platform to stand on and proclaim to the whole world how Nigeria is no longer the giant even in women football.

Falcons have failed to retain the AWC title they won in 2010 under the tutelage of former international, Eucheria Uche and the football fraternity is not in a happy mood. So many reasons have been adduced for Super Falcons dwindling fortunes. Our cover story is on the failure of the Falcons and what the experts are saying is the way out of the quagmire.

In keeping with our tradition, we have for our esteem readers, an incisive interview with Super Eagles invitee, Emmanuel Toryila Ajia, a rising star in Nigerian football. It is common knowledge that Cristiano Ronaldo of Real Madrid is never shy of speaking out his mind and we feel it will interest his teeming fans to read about his most recent response to those who cast him in bad light at every given opportunity.

Our Europe Round Up features Ronaldo's 'you don't know me' story and the local derby between two Serie A giants, Lazio and Roma. The section also provides our readers with all the weekend fixtures in the European leagues.

And tonight in Hamburg, reigning WBO heavyweight Champion, Wladimir Klitschko will take on polish challenger Mariusz Wach in what may pass for one of the easiest bouts for the Ukrainian. Although Klitschko's challenger will coming into the fight with what seems to be inspiring record, his victories in 27 fights have been against lesser known foes. For boxing pundits, tonight's fight may be one way traffic for Klitschko.
