Mr. Mengis Isaac, head of nutrition in the branch office, explained that immunization with Vitamin 'A' minimizes child mortality by 25%, and that it is crucial in overcoming measles and related diseases.

Among parents, Ms. Bisrat Girmai, Ms. Mecca Mohammed Imam and Ms. Fireweini Romha voiced appreciation for the endeavors being made as regards child and mother health, and called on parents to immunize their children on time.

Reports indicate that the program is conducted semi-annually, and that 99% of children in the Central region have already been immunized.
