Kenya: Hotel Bookings Drop in the Country

Hotel bookings in Coast province has declined by 22% this year compared to last year. Tourism Stakeholders have attributed the drop to perceived insecurity posed by Al-shabbab terror group and MRC in Mombasa.

CEO hotel keepers, Sam Ikwaye says the canceling of five airlines is another indication that the industry is not performing well and urges the government to address the matter urgently.
