Uganda: Kensington Completes Kyanja Estate

Kensington, Africa, one of the companies that revolutionalized the real estate industry with its unique designs, has completed its housing project in Kyanja with 149 posh units.

The Kensington Luxury Heights project has houses, bungalows and villas all in a well-structured environment with amenities like shopping mall, schools and sports facilities. The two-to-five-bedroom houses are selling for between $89,000 and $289,000. Rent ranges from $700 to $1,500 per month.

Three and four-bedroom houses form the bulk of the finished homes. The Kyanja units follow another Kensington project on the Lugogo bypass. Kensington has mortgage arrangements with Stanbic bank, Barclays, KCB bank Uganda, Standard Chartered bank, and is planning other projects.

"Our plan is to sell the entire project and move into new projects in and around Kampala," said General Manager Stephanie Kwibuka.
