Nigeria: Kawu Denies Attacking NFF Board

Chairman Nigeria Nationwide League and Nigeria Football Federation board member, Ahmad Muazu Kawu has said at no time did he attack the board of the football federation in his attack at the secretariat of the federation.

Kawu who apologized to his colleagues at the board who felt he bypassed them and went to the public in a matter they are capable of resolving as a family said: "I did not attack the NFF board in any of my comments in the public.

I even hailed the president of NFF and the board for their understanding and show of support to the Nationwide League. I only tried to report the support given to the grassroots league through directives and approvals by the exco and efforts of some staff that became obstacles, stumbling blocks and anti grassroots football development. I apologise to the board for going public without seeking their input."

According to Kawu, his position against the secretariat of the NFF has not changed until they realise their mistake.
