Nigeria: Total Organizes Golf Tourney for Charity

Total Company, has donated an undisclosed amount of money to Amazing Grace Foundation, an Abuja-based facility taking care of old people, those living with terminal illnesses, traumatised widows and victims of family violence as part of its corporate social responsibility.

This was after a successful conclusion of the company's annual golf charity tournament, Total Charity Golf Tourney held at the IBB International Golf & Country Club last weekend.

The Managing Director and Chief Executive of Total Upstream Companies in Nigeria, Mr Guy Maurice, who made the disclosure while delivering a speech during the award and luncheon after this year's tournament, said the gesture was in line with the company's policies of touching lives.

"We initiated the, now, Annual Total Charity Golf Tournament to bring keen golfers, friends and business associates together to have fun and to interact informally, while also enjoying the added bonus of keeping fit.

"We cherish the bonding opportunity this tournament offers us and since it has proved such a successful tradition, our aim is to sustain it for as long as there are good people like you willing to take that next shot. Last year, a charity aspect was added to the event to make it the Annual Total charity Golf Tournament."
