Angola: Petro De Luanda Beat Caála in Final of League Cup

Luanda — Petro de Luanda won last Sunday their ninth Angola League Cup, in football, after beating Recreativo da Caála do Huambo by 2-0, in the final game of the competition, played in 11 de Novembro Stadium.

The two goals were scored by the striker Mabululo at 73 and 92 minutes.

With this triumph, Petro de Luanda "dislodge" Interclube and return to the podium, after staying ten years without winning this trophy.

Petro de Luanda are the team with highest number of Angola League Cup trophies, having won it in 1987, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2002 and now in 2012.

The Angola league Cup competition was first disputed in 1982 and the first winner of this competition was the 1º de Maio de Benguela team.
