Tunisia: WWF Warns Against Illegal Exploitation of Forest Wealth in Tunisia

Tunis — The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Tunis Office sounded the alarm bell about the expansion of the phenomenon of looting forest wealth in Tunisia.

"If the situation continues this way, we risk to see all the reforestation efforts undertaken by the State for a half century destroyed," Mr. Faouzi Maamouri WWF Co-ordinator in Tunisia told TAP, adding that the "tree has never been threatened in Tunisia the way it is now."
