The much awaited registration of voters will now begin on November 19.

The vice chairperson of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission Lilian Mahiri-Zaja says the Biometric Voter Registration will run strictly for 30 days.

She added that the mandatory inspection of the voters' register will take place simultaneously due to the limited time ahead of the March 4 general election.

Mahiri-Zaja told reporters that the commission expects to register between 18 and 22 million voters.
