One Victor Mendy, a resident of Kunkujang Mariama in the West Coast Region was on Wednesday 7th November 2012 granted bail in the sum of D3000,000 with 2 Gambian sureties at the Brikama Magistrates' Court presided over by Principal Magistrate Hilary Abeke for been in possession of prohibited drug contrary to the drug control act of the Gambia.

According to the particular of offence stated that on or about 28th June 2012 at Kunkujang Village in Kombo North District West Coast Region, the accused in his possession have 100 gram of cannabis sativa a prohibited drug thereby committed an offence. When the charged was read to the accused person he pleaded not guilty and was granted bail according.

The NDEA prosecutor NCA3 Ms. Camara apply for an adjournment to enable him to call his witness in court. The case was adjourned to 10th November 2012.
