The founder and operator of the mother Bendu M. Vah Orphanage Home in Barclay Farm Margibi County has made an SOS call to philanthropists, NGOs and well-meaning Liberians to come to the aid of her institution.

Mother Bendu M. Vah in an interview with our reporter recently highlighted the difficulties she was facing in catering to the institution, noting that feeding, clothing and shelter for the orphans were the most topping.

She said since the establishment of the orphanage home in 1999, she has been struggling in catering for a little over 70 children at the institution, some of whom have grown while others still in their teen ages.

Commenting further, Mother Vah said the most challenging issues at the orphanage home were the feeding and sheltering of the children, and noted that some of the structures have broken down due to the lack of funding to enable her maintain the facilities.

Some of the dwelling places, according to our reporter who toured the orphanage home in Barclay Farm have fallen while others pos serious danger to the health of the kids.

She lamented the poor condition under which the children were being sheltered and called on central government as well as well-meaning Liberians including the Legislative Caucus of Margibi to quickly come to her aid.

"These are Liberian children; I need help from government, NGOs and good will people to help me and these future leaders," mother Vah added.

She indicated that she was sometimes feeding the children from handouts received from some community dwellers, but said that was not enough to feed and run her institution.

Mother Vah who also runs a junior high school to enable the children obtain education said she was also facing tough times to meet up with the teachers demand in salary among other things.
