The Central Bank of Liberia, through its Governor Dr. J. Mills Jones, remains a strong supporter of the economy and youth development initiatives, the Young Men Christian Association (YMCA) has said.
According to YMCA, the support is evidenced by series of micro-loans CBL has provided to marketers and the Liberia Business Association for the purpose of micro-enterprise development.
It is from this backdrop that YMCA), through its National General Secretary Mr. E. Edward Gboe, rated CBL high by presenting it with cooperate partnership award.
Mr. Gboe said the CBL remains a strong supporter of the economy and youth development initiatives in Liberia.
He said this is a clear indication of the bank's provision of micro-loan to marketers for the purpose of micro-enterprise development.
The CBL supports scores of students at various universities in the country, he said describing it as a significant contribution to Liberia's human resource development.
