Uganda: Makerere Student Jumps to Death

A student of Makerere University has jumped to death from one of the tallest buildings at the campus in the capital Kampala.

Emmanuel Kagina died instantly upon touching the ground from the 15th floor of a girl's Hall of residence, Mary Stuart.

Kagina was a second year student pursuing bachelors of Arts in arts degree. It's suspected that he had a misunderstanding with his girlfriend.

The in-charge of Makerere University police, John Rutaagira, confirmed the incident and said they had launched investigations into the cause of suicide.
