Kenya: Van Kills 42 in Goats Crash

HUNDREDS of commuters including tourists visiting the Maasai Mara game reserve were stranded for two hours on Saturday after a royal media van killed 42 goats in Narok North District.

The incident occurred near Suswa trading centre on the busy Narok-Mai Mahiu highway about 60 kilometres from Narok town. Passengers travelling between Western Kenya and Nairobi were also stranded in Narok town.

There was a traffic snarl up as vehicles from Nairobi stretched as far as Satellite area while those from Western Kenya reached as far as Suswa trading centre.
