Kenya: Britam Donates Desks to Inmates

NYERI: Inmates at King'ong'o prison at the weekend received Sh200,000 furniture for their classrooms and library. The furniture included chairs, desks and bookshelves.

They were donated by Britam Insurance company. Britam marketing director Muthoga Ngera said the equipment will improve learning conditions at the prison.

Marketing director Muthoga Ngera sid Britam wants to improve the welfare of prisoners. "When the inmates are equipped with education and other skills that will help them become better citizens, it will go a long way in ensuring a crime-free society. We want to change your lives forever," Ngera old the inmates.
