NYERI Kimathi University College of Technology has launched a 140 acre wildlife conservancy within the institution. The conservancy is expected to serve as a hub of research and teaching.
The launch was officiated by the Mt Kenya tourism director Abdullahi Omolo. Omolo said the conservancy will expand tourism in Mt Kenya region .
Kimathi principal Ndirangu Kioni and KWS assistant director Mountain Conservation Aggrey Maumo also attended the event held at the institution's grounds.
