It remains to be seen if Eric 'Mbuyu' Gasana will be considered for the upcoming Cecafa Tusker Challenge Cup after pulling out of Wednesday's international friendly against Namibia.
The versatile defender, who plays for Yanga in Tanzania's Vodacom Premier League, opted out of the friendly due to family obligations according to Ferwafa's Secretary General Michel Gasingwa.
"Apart from Gasana who is not available for the Namibia international friendly, all the other summoned professionals - Charles Tibingana, Salomon Nirisarike, Steven Godfroid, Elias 'Baby' Uzamukunda and Haruna Niyonzima are available for selection," the official confirmed.
Amavubi coach Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic will use the match to determine his final 18-man squad for the Challenge Cup slated for November 24 - December 8 in Kampala, Uganda.
The other notable omission from the team is APR's Eric Nsabimana is who nursing a thigh injury.
The Namibian national football team- better known as the Brave Warriors jetted in last night and will have a training session later today at Amahoro Stadium- the venue for the international friendly.
Last month, the two sides played out a goalless draw in Windhoek.
