The National Biotechnology Centre (NABDA) has organised a one-day workshop for its staff on disease control as part of the Human Hereditary and Health in Africa initiatives (H3Africa).

NABDA Director of Molecular Biotechnology Dr Oyekanmi Nash, who made presentation during an interactive session at the workshop in Abuja, said an improved African bioinformatics network will bring "improved patient outcome across the continent."

He said the workshop was to "enable the H3Africa consortium to exploit genomic and environmental data generated within H3Africa."
