The applications filed to quash charges by four of the six civil servants standing trial in alleged N33 billion pension funds has been dismissed by an Abuja High Court.
The EFCC had arraigned Atiku Abubakar Kigo, the Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Head of Service; Esai Dangabar, a retired director at the Aviation Ministry; and Ahmed Wada, a former deputy director of the Police Pension Office and now director in the Federal Ministry of Sports on a 16-count charge of alleged fraud.
Others equally arraigned are accountants: Sani Habila Zira, John Yakubu Yusufu and Veronica Ulonma Onyegbula.
At the resumed hearing yesterday, Justice Abubakar Talba held that Kigo, Zira, Dangabar and Wada did not file relevant materials to support the application to quash the charges against them. He adjourned the case to January 28 for hearing.
