Gambia: Two Friends Drown At Sea

Two friends from Sukuta village in Kombo North, West Coast Region, Saturday got drowned at sea in Brufut Beach. Sanu Jammeh, 12; and Isatou Darboe, 15, had gone picnicking when the tragedy occurred.

Confirming the incident to the Daily Observer, Cadet ASP David Kujabi, public relations officer of the Gambia Police Force (GPF), said the two friends went out for a picnic but never returned. "Sanu's body was found on the same day while Isatou's body was found the following day. Their bodies were taken to RVTH were they were identified and later buried," he added.
