Uganda: Kazinda Case Continues Tomorrow

Geoffrey A. Kazinda will appear at the anti-corruption court tomorrow noon till the close of the week. The interdicted principal accountant is involved as a cosignatory to all the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) accounts and the irregular payments therein.

He, among three others, is charged before the Anti-Corruption Court with 29 counts of embezzlement, false accounting, forgery, conspiracy to commit felony and causing financial loss of Shs 316.8m.

Kazinda is co-accused with (Commissioner for Relief, Disaster Preparedness and Management John Martin Owor, Assistant Resettlement Officer Beatrice Kezabu and Hussein Katumwa manager, Total Ntinda.

The OPM fraud allegations cover the 2009/2010, 2010/2011 and 2011/2012 financial years.
