Kenya: Four Injured in Scramble for Food

FOUR people were on Sunday injured in Nyamira as they scrambled for food bought by a youthful aspirant in the Nyamira governor's seat.

Evans Misati, 36, had just launched his bid at Nyamira's Uhuru Gardens when his supporters scrambled for food at a local hotel.

The four, are undergoing treatment at the Nyamira District Hospital, were injured in a stampede after the police allegedly threw tear gas to disperse the scrambling crowd. Misati will contest the seat on a People's Progressive Party ticket.
