Police are investigating a report that Prime Minister Raila Odinga's former aide, Miguna Miguna was involved in a scuffle with a court process server on Friday afternoon.
Miguna is reported to have attempted to run over the court processor who wanted to serve court documents to him at his residence. Nairobi provincial police boss Moses Ombati yesterday confirmed that the process server had filed the complaint at the Runda police station.
"We were not there and don't know what happened. We understand that instead of going to the office to serve, the processor waited outside and confronted him as he walked out. There was fracas and we are investigating the reports," Ombati said.
The complainant was delivering court documents to Miguna in relation to a defamation case emanating from his book Peeling Back The Mask: A Quest for Justice in Kenya. Police summoned Miguna to Runda police station at 2pm to record a statement.
