Kenya: Cancer Survivors Ask for Special Hospital

Cancer survivors have asked the government to build a cancer hospital in Embu. The survivors led by Caroline Njagih, who has established an NGO to create awareness of the disease in the region, said many people have been diagnosed with the disease in Embu.

Speaking during a cancer awareness walk in Embu stadium, Njagi said more cancer facilities should be built across the country.

Ndhiwa MP Agostino Netto and Embu West district health boss Elizabeth Muthinji attended the function where residents were screened for the disease.
