Angola: President of Republic Receives Message From Sao Tomean Colleague

Luanda — The President of the Republic, José Eduardo dos Santos, on Tuesday here received a message of his colleague of Sao Tome and Principe, Manuel Pinto da Costa, Angop has learnt.

The message was handed over by the special envoy of the Sao Tomean President Paulo Jorge do Espirito Santo, who did not disclose its content, but he hailed the strong friendship relations that unite both peoples.

"President José Eduardo dos Santos received it in a cordial manner, taking into account the existing excellent co-operation and solidarity relations between the two states", said the special envoy.

Angola and Saot Tome and Principe have centuries-old relations based on a brotherhood and common history, whose strengthening of the political and economic co-operation must depends on the reinforcement of the position of the two countries at the level of the regional organisations.
