Luanda — Vietnam's President, Truong Tan Sang, sent a congratulation message to his Angolan colleague, José Eduardo dos Santos, on the celebrations of the 37th anniversary of the national independence, marked on November 11, Angop has learnt.

A press note from the embassy in Luanda, the messages says that "over the last 37 years our countries have had best feelings and precious supports and help in the construction of national defence, what constitutes a valuable wealth that our two peoples must continue preserving and developing".

Vietnam was the second country of the world that recognised the independence of Angola, having set diplomatic relations on November 12, 1975.
