Algeria Officials Train in Nuclear Safety

Forty Algerian police, transport, customs and civil protection officers on Sunday (November 11th) began a training course on nuclear safety and the fight against radioactive material trafficking, Tout sur l'Algerie reported.

The five-day programme is being conducted by experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and Interpol.

The initiative is part of TaskMed, aimed at strengthening border nuclear security between Algeria and the EU, National Security (DGSN) chief Abdelghani Hamel said.
