Libya: France Offers Help to Libya
13 November 2012
France is prepared to help Libya with security issues and democratisation, AFP quoted French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius as saying on Monday (November 11th).
"I propose scaling up our security and defence co-operation to help you build the army and police forces that Libya needs. Should you express the wish, France will ask the European Union to provide you with assistance in this vital area," Fabius said in his address to the General National Congress (GNC).
