Angola: Agriculture Minister Ends Visit in Kuando Kubango

Menongue — The minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Afonso Pedro Kanga, ended his visit in the south-eastern Kuando Kubango province, where launched 500 hectares for the production of various kinds of rice, produced by CAMS Chinese Company in partnership with the Angolan firm of GESTERRAS.

Speaking to the press in Menongue, Afonso Pedro Kanga guaranteed that the Ministry of Agriculture under the guidance of the President of the Republic, José Eduardo dos Santos, has various projects for Kuando Kubango, such as the production of bulky rice and agricultural development in all aspects.

He said that there other projects referring to agriculture, underway in various provinces in terms of development of the agricultural and farming sector.

Pedro Kanga paid a two day visit to Kuando Kubango province, where he checked the agricultural potentialities of the region for a production that may contribute to the growth of the country and region.
