Jean Claude Gasigwa's ITF Men's Futures jinx dragged on after suffering a first round exit in Bujumbura on Monday.
The Rwandan top seed was no match for the tournament's 7th seed Lucas Zweili of Switzerland at the Burundi F1 Futures. The Swiss sailed through 6-2, 6-1 in just over 40 minutes at Entente Sportive de Bujumbura.
Jean de Dieu Habiyambere also suffered a similar fate against India's Kaza Vinayak Sharma 6-0, 6-2. Sharma, 21, is seed number five and one of the favourites to win the tournament.
From Burundi, players will descend on Kigali for the second and third legs. The second leg (Rwanda F1 Futures) is slated to run from November 19 -25 followed by the third leg (Rwanda F2 Futures) from November 26 - December 2.
