Namibia: No 'Block Votin' for Kavango At Congress

Rundu — Swapo Party's Kavango Regional Coordinator Vincent Likoro has made it categorically clear that the 37 delegates from the region will not apply the block voting system during the upcoming Swapo Party Congress.

The widely anticipated elective congress, which is the highest decision-making structure in the party, is scheduled for November 29 to December 2. Block voting is a system where the members of a party do not vote individually for the candidate they prefer, but instead cast the vote collectively for a candidate chosen by the region.
