Egypt: Information Minister - Nation Seeks to Expand Ties With China

Information Minister Salah Abdel-Maqsoud said on Tuesday 13/11/2012 Egypt seeks to expand its relations with China at all levels as Beijing is a strong ally for the Egyptian people.

Egypt also looks forward to increasing the number of Chinese tourists to one million a year, the minister said during a ceremony to launch a Chinese language teaching program, which will be aired on the higher education TV channel as of November 21.

A program to teach the Arabic language will be transmitted on the Chinese channels during the coming period, the minister added.
