Uganda: Kiplimo Rampant in 5000 Metres Victory

POLICE'S athlete Abraham Kiplimo put his side to an early victory at the Inter forces games after he won the men's 5000m race at Namboole.

He finished in 14 minutes five seconds and four microseconds ahead of national teammate Simon Ayeko (UPDF) in second place in a time of 14:06.01.

Kiplimo said the victory was not as convincing as he had thought it would be as he prepares for the MTN marathon.

"The race wasn't as easy as I had expected. It has given me more urge to train harder ahead of the marathon," he said.
