Qatar Airways has introduced an interactive, customer focused website dedicated to its Rwanda clients, where passengers will be able to make their bookings online.
Akbar Al Baker, Qatar Airways Chief Executive Officer said that the new solution offers greater flexibility to passengers who can now create bookings online and pay for these bookings in cash at a local Qatar Airways reservations and ticketing office.
The Doha-based airline says the new-look, customer-focused, interactive website, is designed for a complete user-friendly experience and will handle growth witnessed in the last 15 years of its operation.
"Our passengers want to be able to book online 24/7 and instantly access our latest offers. So this solution is both user-friendly and gives passengers greater flexibility," he said
He adds that the initiative was introduced to give passengers more payment choices.
"Qatar Airways is committed to continually innovating and improving our products and services to enhance the travel experience for our customers," he said.
Akbar is hopeful that with the new service enhancement, passengers who were unable to make online bookings because they did not have access to credit cards now have a more flexible payment method.
"Clicking on the interactive route map, passengers can easily choose their next travel destination and directly proceed to book," the statement reads
The website ensures seamless, easy and quick navigation through various pages, making booking effortless.
As a result, payment must be completed within 48 hours of creating the booking online while the airways does not charge any additional booking fees when bookings are made through its website and payment is made at their local office (subject to terms and conditions).
Once payment for the booking is made, passengers can then check-in online and also select their preferred seat and meals.
"Passengers who prefer to pay with credit cards can still complete their travel arrangements online," he adds
The Skytrax prestigious Airline of the Year 2011 and 2012 winner currently flies a modern fleet of 111 aircraft to 120 key business and leisure destinations across Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, North America and South America.
Akbar noted that in addition to getting updated on their current flight status, passengers can select additional services with various hotel and car partners.
The airline says that over the next few months it will launch more services to a diverse portfolio of new routes, including Belgrade in Serbia, Warsaw in Poland, Gassim of Saudi Arabia, Najaf in Iraq, Phnom Penh in Cambodia, Chicago and USA.
