Kenya: Plea to IEBC On Voters' Training

THE IEBC has been challenged to fast track civic education to ensure a smooth and credible general election, former Malindi MP Lucas Baya Maitha has said.

He said it is unfortunate that four months to the elections and yet the voters know little on the voting procedures. Speaking to the Star in Malindi yesterday, Maitha said most people do not know the importance of the voter registration.

"When I am speaking to many people around here, they say they have voting cards. They are actually contented that they have been registered and this is a big problem. This matter may make many to still relax at home during registration and end up being locked out in the voting," he said.
