A teacher at a primary school in Mwatate constituency was yesterday found to have committed suicide over suspected family dispute. Family members said Pascal Mwadime, 42, a teacher at Mwandisha primary school, had come home on Friday.
Mwanda ward councillor Nicholas Nyambu, said his brother's body was found to the Mwadime dangling on a rope in his room. He said family members went to check on him after he failed to come of the house only to find him dead.
Nyambu said the father of three was the sole bread winner of his family. "My brother was the sole breadwinner of his family. His first born daughter is a candidate at Mwangeka girl's secondary school in Wundanyi," he said.
A senior police officer in Wundanyi said the Mwadime left a suicide note. In the note, the late Mwadime stated that he resorted to end his life due to frustrations in life and further appealed to his family members including his wife and brothers to forgive him. Police took the deceased body to the Wesu district hospital awaiting a postmortem examination.
