Kenya: A Spectacular Naivasha Fashion Weekend

Last Saturday saw the Naivasha Fashion Weekend which attracted dozens of fashion designers, models and revellers. The event sponsored by KISS 100, Classic 105, East Africa Women League and Palbina Travelers among others was held at the Enashipai Resort and Spa in Naivasha.

The show, a first of its kind was also used as a forum to raise funds for various charities in and around Naivasha town. According to Wanjeri Mahiti, a director of Enashipai, four charities had been earmarked to benefit from proceeds of the event.

"The charities we've been helping range from the disadvantaged in the communities to the orphanages in Naivasha and Gilgil areas," she said.

Wanjeri said they hoped to make the fashion fare an annual event and many more designers would join the event come next year. The event also coincided with the opening of an ultra modern state of the art Siyaai Spa in the hotel.
