Angola: Science Minister Attends Meeting in Congo Brazzaville

Brazzaville — Angola's Minister of Science and Technology, Maria Candida Teixeira, is participating since Wednesday in Brazzavile in the fifth ordinary session of the 5th African Union Ministerial Conference on Science & Technology (AMCOST ), Angop has learnt.

This fifth session is being prepared by experts that started their works on Monday at the palace of congress of Congo Brazzaville.

The previous session took place in Cairo, Egypt.

AMCOST is a platform that enables the African Union to launch programmes that support the development, harmony, co-ordination and implementation of suitable policies and common initiatives for the development of science and technology in the members states and in the economic regional communities.

This is aimed to make easy the African Union vision of a peaceful, integrated and prosperous Africa, led and managed by its citizens, dynamic force in the global community.
